Beijing, May 12, 2026 – Maersk has issued its third official statement addressing the unauthorized use of its name by illegal actors online. The company reported that since February 2025, fraudulent parties have falsified documents, including business licenses and financial records, and used Maersk’s name to carry out illegal activities on social media and other online platforms.

Upon discovering the issue, Maersk immediately launched internal investigations and reported the matter to authorities. The company continues to cooperate with law enforcement and relevant platforms to investigate and take action against the illegal activities.

The company also reminded the public to verify the legitimacy of online transactions and exercise caution to avoid potential financial losses. Previous warnings were issued in April and September 2025 through Maersk’s official channels.
