Global container shipping demand is showing stronger growth momentum, with market expectations improving for the second half of the year. Maersk has recently adjusted its full-year performance outlook, reflecting increased demand trends and a more stable operating environment.
The company raised its EBITDA forecast range from the previous estimate, while also improving its expectations for EBIT performance. The adjustment highlights stronger cargo flows, increased shipping activity and continued changes in global trade patterns.
Industry analysis shows that global container demand growth is expected to reach around 2% to 4% this year, supported by earlier peak-season shipments and supply chain adjustments. Meanwhile, capacity pressure and market uncertainty continue to influence freight planning and transportation strategies.
Maersk stated that customers are actively preparing their shipment schedules to improve supply chain flexibility. With Asia-Pacific trade remaining an important growth driver, companies are encouraged to secure capacity in advance and maintain stable logistics arrangements.
