Ezhou Huahu Airport Launches New All-Cargo Routes to Europe
Ezhou Huahu Airport has recently expanded its international cargo network with the successful launch of new all-cargo routes connecting Ezhou with Bratislava and Budapest, further strengthening central China’s air logistics links with Europe.
According to local logistics sources, the newly launched “Ezhou–Bratislava” route was operated by Zhongzhou Airlines and completed its inaugural flight successfully. The service is scheduled to operate once weekly, with each flight capable of transporting nearly 100 tons of cargo. Export cargo mainly consists of cross-border e-commerce goods and consumer products, while inbound shipments include industrial equipment such as audio systems and optical instruments.
At the same time, the “Ezhou–Budapest” route has officially opened direct cargo operations between Huahu Airport and Hungary using Boeing 777 freighter aircraft. The route is planned to operate twice weekly, with annual cargo throughput expected to exceed 10,000 tons. Outbound cargo is primarily focused on e-commerce products and electronics, while inbound goods include musical instruments and fresh products.
Industry observers note that the launch of these new European cargo routes further enhances Ezhou Huahu Airport’s role as an emerging international air cargo hub in central China. The expansion is expected to improve logistics efficiency for cross-border e-commerce, high-value goods, and international supply chain distribution between China and Europe.
With growing demand for stable air freight capacity and faster cargo transit solutions, the addition of these routes reflects the continued development of China-Europe logistics connectivity and international cargo aviation networks.
